Very simply, keywords are the words you type into Google, Bing, Firefox or whatever search engine you use, to find what you are looking for. The more people that use these keywords, the more important they become to marketers. These keywords are the vehicles that drive passengers, traffic, to your website. The right keywords can mean success for your business.
How to use keywords
If your business is men’s clothes, you wouldn’t use words like entree or dessert. You want words that are specific to your business. Maybe words like “young men’s clothes” or “tall men’s clothes”, something specific. The more specific the better. “fine clothes for the young tall man” as an example, might be just what you need to get your website indexed on the first page. Indexing is more than just keywords, but they are important.
Find top keywords
It’s important when choosing keywords you do some research. Spend some time and find top keywords for your website. Most keyword tools will give you lots of data, metrics and numbers you have to decipher yourself. This of course means that most of this data is useless to you, unless you’re a math genius. If you’re thinking about buying a keyword tool, beware the following.
- Anything you install
- anything requiring multiple searches per task
- is it providing ppc estimates
- is Alexa the determining factor
- is it a tool that’s not getting results from all search engines
If you’re using a sub par research tool, it won’t take long for you to realize you’re wasting your money and your time. That is what useless data is, a waste of time and money.
Introducing Jaaxy Enterprise
When you’re researching keywords, the most relevant metrics are competition, how much monthly traffic do they drive and do they make sense, as in common sense.
Keywords that make sense, have high traffic and low competition are obviously seo ready. If you create good, meaningful content, then these are the keywords that can get you to the top of the first page. That, my friends, means money. With the right keywords even a lot of competition isn’t a bad thing.
Want to try your own Jaaxy research. Use search box below.
For each keyword you research Jaaxy will tell you how many monthly searches, estimated traffic for those searches, competition and give you a KQI rating. The KQI rating tells you the relative quality of a keyword. QSR tells you how competition there is for that keyword. All of this is much more practical data than you get from other keyword tools.
Jaaxy is the preferred research platform of the most successful online entrepreneurs in the world.
